A mathematical model describing the dynamic emission of a single mode TE CO2 laser with saturable absorber has been adapted. A six-temperature model has been used to describe the amplifying medium, while a four-coupled energy level is used to describe the selective absorbing medium. The suggested mathematical model allows the investigation of the effects of the intracavity absorber on the mode characteristics of the TE CO2 laser and, moreover, the study of the effect of the laser input parameters on the output laser pulse. The model simulates the passive Q-switch in both low- and high-pressure cases in the absorbing medium.

In addition, numerical solutions of a non-linear rate equation system of the suggested model are quantitatively discussed. The solutions describe the photon number density, the population inversion and the energy transfer processes of amplifying and absorbing media.  相似文献

The suggested model allows the investigation of the effects of a dye cell on the mode characteristics of the ruby laser and, moreover, the study of the effect of the laser input parameters on the output laser pulse. This model simulates the nonlinear effects of dye pulse modulation on the laser emission.In addition, a numerical solution of a nonlinear rate equation system of the adapted model is discussed. The solution estimates the density of the emitted radiation, population inversion and energy transfer processes of the ruby laser rod and dye cell for different emission regimes (one pulse regime, free running pulses, repetition periodic pulses). The estimated results of the laser output pulse characteristics are in a good agreement with the other calculated and experimental results.  相似文献

Membrane proteins are of biological and pharmaceutical significance. However, their structural study is extremely challenging mainly due to the fact that only a small number of chemical tools are suitable for stabilizing membrane proteins in solution. Detergents are widely used in membrane protein study, but conventional detergents are generally poor at stabilizing challenging membrane proteins such as G protein-coupled receptors and protein complexes. In the current study, we prepared tandem triazine-based maltosides (TZMs) with two amphiphilic triazine units connected by different diamine linkers, hydrazine (TZM−Hs) and 1,2-ethylenediamine (TZM−Es). These TZMs were consistently superior to a gold standard detergent (DDM) in terms of stabilizing a few membrane proteins. In addition, the TZM−Es containing a long linker showed more general protein stabilization efficacy with multiple membrane proteins than the TZM−Hs containing a short linker. This result indicates that introduction of the flexible1,2-ethylenediamine linker between two rigid triazine rings enables the TZM−Es to fold into favourable conformations in order to promote membrane protein stability. The novel concept of detergent foldability introduced in the current study has potential in rational detergent design and membrane protein applications.  相似文献

The determination of biomedical markers and pathogens using electrochemical sensors is a well-established technique in which the transducer and the recognition element are used to detect the target molecule. There is a growing interest in molecularly imprinted polymer (MIPs) applications as promising recognition elements. The use of MIPs as recognition elements in electrochemical sensors offers the advantages of being fast, low cost, and, at the same time, provides accurate and selective results compared with other commonly applied routine methods for biomedical markers and pathogen detection. Compared with other nanomaterials and aptamer-based biosensors, MIP-based sensors offered excellent selectivity for low-priced reagents to be used. The aim of the current review is to discuss the most recent applications of MIP-based electrochemical sensors (2019–2021) as promising detection devices for some important biomarkers, enzymes, and pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, and toxins.  相似文献

An enzymatic method for the determination vitamin A (retinol) is reported using soluble and immobilized alcohol dehydrogenase, isolated from rabbit liver. The reaction is based on the oxidation of retinol and simultaneous reduction of NAD+ to NADH followed by spectrophotometric detection at 340 nm. The calibration graph was linear over the range of 2.0–10 μM with correlation coefficients of 0.9967 and 0.9992 (n = 5) for soluble and immobilized alcohol dehydrogenase respectively, with relative standard deviations (n = 3) in the range of 0.5–1.2%. The limit of detection was lower than 1.0 μM. The proposed method was applied to determine vitamin A in pharmaceuticals, and the results obtained were in reasonable agreement with the amount labeled. The results were compared using spectrophotometric reference method, and no significant difference was found between the results of the both methods.  相似文献

A comparative spectrophotometric study of the reaction of some substituted phenylazo-3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid derivatives with trivalent yttrium, lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, and erbium ions has shown that 1:1 and 1:2 complexes are formed at pH 7–8. Applications of these chelating agents for direct spectrophotometric determination of the lanthanons under investigation and also as indicators for spectrophotometric titration with EDTA were reported. Interference of various cations and anions in this method was also studied. Beer's law was obeyed for metal ions of up to 5–10 ppm.  相似文献

Five and six-temperature models for the CO2–N2–He system are used to describe the process of the dynamic emission in the TEA CO2 laser. All physical constants and relaxation rates related to these models are examined to estimate the output pulse parameters as a function of the input parameters.
